Ilídia Cabral has a degree in Modern Languages and Literature, English/German from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Porto (1999). She also has a Masters degree in Educational Sciences from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2008) and holds a PHd in Education from the same institution (2013). Ilídia Cabral is an Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and coordinates the Support Service for Education  Improvement (Serviço de Apoio à Melhoria da Educação – SAME). She is a Visiting Professor at University  of Saint Joseph in Macau, for Master courses in Education. She is the Coordinator of the Post-Graduation courses in Educational Sciences and Integrated Researcher and member of the Board of Directors at CEDH.
