CEDH is part of the consortium to implement the project "Education for Citizenship"

The Research Centre for Human Development of the Catholic University of Portugal is part of the consortium that was chosen to implement in the next three years the project " Citizenship Education", an initiative of the Active Citizens' Program promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian and Bissaya Barreto Foundations.
Chosen among 14 applications, this consortium led by the Gonçalo da Silveira Foundation will concretize this project in line with the National Strategy for Citizenship Education. The overall objective of the project is to foster a systemic change in citizenship education and to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in public policies and in promoting a more tolerant and involved society.
The Centre for Research on Human Development will be responsible for the creation of a metric to assess students' "citizenship level", thus contributing to the design of programs that respond to student needs and impact measurement of actions for citizenship education. The project’s research team includes the researchers Filipe Martins (coordinator), Luísa Mota Ribeiro and Mariana Barbosa.
