4th International Meeting and Final Conference of the FACT FOR MINORS Project

The 4th European Meeting of the FACT FOR MINORS Project – Fostering Alternative Care for Troubled Minors (JUST/2015/RCHI/AG/PROF) was held on the 26th and 27th of June 2018 in Brussels – Belgium. The Final Conference, in which were presented the main results of the Project, took place at the European Parliament and it was attended by the Member Caterina Chinnici. The Project has been developed within the scope of the Research Centre for Human Development (CEDH) at the Portuguese Catholic University – Porto and its Principal Investigator in Portugal is Catarina Ribeiro, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP-UCP).The Project has the collaboration of entities from several European countries – Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Finland – and its main objective is to promote changes in the tutelary and child protection systems, reinforcing the capacity of the different institutions to work in an articulated way with children and young people who are complying with tutelary educational measures in an internment regime and are in a particular vulnerable situation, namely children and young people with psychological and/or psychiatric disorders. The Meeting was attended by professionals from partner countries, as well as by national guests from different areas (Academic, Health System, Justice System, and Protection System).
