Rosana Magalhães

Profile

Rosana Magalhães finished her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2014 in University of Minho and holds a special interest in the field of Neuropsychology. Committed to strengthening the connection between academia and clinical practice, she has been dividing her time between teaching, researching and clinical practice. Since 2016, she is an invited lecturer at Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto, dedicated to the subjects of Neuropsychology and Neurosciences. While collaborating with Human Neurobehavioral Lab (HNL) she aims to develop a project using neurofeedback to tackle attention difficulties in school-aged children, for which she has applied for several grants. From 2016 to 2019 she held the position of clinical neuropsychologist at Hospital Cuf Porto, where she gained a great amount of experience in neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation. She has contributed to research in diverse fields such as multiple sclerosis, dementia and traumatic brain injury. She is an effective member of Portuguese Psychologists Association (OPP). Currently, she works at 2CA-Braga, a Clinical Academic Center, as a rater in clinical trials for Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis, as well as providing support to researchers in clinical study’s planning and design.
